| Glen R. Campbell, who was a graduate of '68. Unfortunately, Glen passed away 4 1/2 years ago. From: Lisa (Duncan) Smith Millikan Class of 1973 1/3/08 Gary Keating http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/lbpresstelegram/obituary.aspx?n=gary-w-keating&pid=135777437 KEATING, Gary W. 59 years old, of Long Beach, died November 6, 2009, from complications related to diabetes. Gary was born and raised in Long Beach and graduated from Millikan H.S. and CSULB. As a youth, he loved flying and was a licensed pilot, he worked in several airplane related fields before retiring. He is survived by his mother, Doris Keating of Long Beach; father, James Keating of Escondido; brothers, Ron, Rick and Steve; sister, Patty; and 7 nieces and nephews. Memorial service is Monday, November 16, noon, at Forest Lawn, Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association . |

David Mehlmauer
(class of 1968) was a student at Millikan for his Sophomore and
Junior years, and his Senior year until April. He committed suicide on
April 5, 1968, the day after Dr. King was murdered in Memphis. I was a
close friend of Dave’s and am still in touch with one of his brothers
(class of ’59). If the resources that exist now for depressed and
at-risk kids had been around in 1968, maybe Dave would still be making
us laugh. He was a natural clown, not a class clown—he was born with
it.
