MillikanAlumni Classmates we will miss 1985 Return to All Years Page   Bobbie ? Unfortunately, as I am typing this I don't recall his last name, its been over 20 years, but I feel this should be posted. Bobbie would have graduated in the 1985 year if he had lived. Bobbie attended Millikan during the 1983-84 year. He had moved in to the house four doors down the street from me. He was a Junior. He was an outgoing young man who was liked and loved by all those that got to know him. Bobbie was a fun loving and down to earth guy even though at his age he had already had his hour of fame. Bobbie had a growing acting career ahead of him, having already appeared in several TV commericals including one of the Pepsi Coke Taste Test Challenge commericals (I learned from Bobbie that those taste test commericals were staged acts), and he played the part of the boy on the skate board that John and Ponch of Chips were after. You may remember the Chips episode with the boy on the skate board that grabbed the rear bumber of a car and then found himself hanging on for life as the car took him on to the freeway - that was Bobbie. Well, Bobbie, unfortuantely, was killed that 1983-84 school year while riding on a motorcyle with a friend, Jeff Mort. It was a Friday night and they were stopped at a red street light when they were hit from the rear by a drunk driver. Bobbie was pronounced brain dead at Long Beach Memorial. I still remember Bobbie's parents opening their home after that horrible night, they moved shortly thereafter, and I have not seen them since, but I want their son, and my friend remembered.
