After graduation I went on to UCLA and CSULB
where I received a BA in economics. I soon changed careers and
I've been a civil engineering designer since 1979. In 1999 I
re-connected with my high school sweetheart from Anaheim HIgh
(Jeri Pennings) and we were married in 2002. We currently live
in Canyon Lake in Riverside County. In high school, I played
guitar and sang in local bands, and have been playing semi-professionally
ever since. I recently formed a new band with Dave Quintana (Millikan
'71) and we're looking forward to playing at some clubs in Long
Beach in the near future. I have lots of good memories of Millikan,
including offering to bribe Boston Blackie with Blue Chip stamps
in order to sneak off campus! (He didn't appreciate that...).

Wow Just found this web site! Hello to all past students who
used to tease me. Spent 20 yrs of my life at Press-Telegram,
then 13 years working for Sun Newspaper, now working currently
in Los Alamitos. Waited for knight on white horse to sweep me
up, but life & reality burst that bubble.
Single, living with 2 dogs.
Lost my sister, Gail in 2002 to cancer. She graduated in 1969.
Lost my brother Keith to suicide last year. Life became too tough.
He had graduated in 1971. Anyone with stories about my siblings
I would enjoy hearing from.

Hello students from class of ´68 and ´69! I was one
of the exchangestudents on the AFS-program 67-68 (from Sweden)
and my year with you all ment a lot to me. Throughout the years
I´ve lost contact with everybody but would be happy to
hear from any of my old friends!
After finishing Highschool in Sweden I went to artschool for
5 years and now work with graphic design and teaching.
I was married in ´73 to a farmer and we spent our honeymoon
in USA - he had to meet my "american family"!
We have 4 children between 16 and 27 years old and we live a
good life on the Westcoast of Sweden together with cows, horses,
dog and cats! We also share the same intrests: travelling, sailing
and skiing.
I´d like to know if there are some plans for a big reunion
in 2008?Hope to hear from someone....

I reckon I am possibly the only student from Northern Rhodesia (see
Wikipedia for that) that ever went to Millikan High School. Upon
graduation I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and became involved
in the student movement in and around Berkeley while attending
university at the California State University at Hayward. After
graduation from university I emigrated to Australia, where I lived
at
Sydney for 2 years. I returned to California in 1974 and moved to
San
Francisco. I lived there for 30 years and had a magnificent career
in
IT, specialising in computer-aided design in Sausalito and Marin.I
spent an 18 month sojourn working in IT in London during the 1980s.
Six years ago, I left San Francisco and moved to Amsterdam, The
Netherlands, where I now live, self-employed. I remember many of my
fellow students and teachers at Millikan, and I am surprised that
1968 has so few alumni that come forward. I still have contact with
a
few ex-students of Millikan from my years, as well as with graduates
of Wilson High. I visit with them when I am in Long Beach. I
remember
Britt Limdal, the Swedish exchange student. Everyone would. It was
nice to see her post on this site. I am almost a neighbour of yours,
Britt, just down the coast a bit to the south-west! I still return
to
California from time to time, where I have a son, and some of my
family.
Mary Elizabeth Schofield (now Mary Schofield Nowee)
After Millikan, I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated
with a degree in architecture. I moved to the SF Bay Area right
out of college where I have lived ever since. I am registered
architect and work as a specifier and architect. I worked on the
BART Extension to the San Francisco Airport and on light rail
projects in San Jose and Dallas. My brother still lives in Long
Beach and his son graduated from Millikan.

I have been living in Australia for almost
32 years. I am very happily married, have a son 35 and a daughter
26. I also have 2 beautiful grand daughters.
I have never been to any class reunions
but am thinking of going to the 40th in 2 years time if I can
and if I hear about it.

after 31 years working for the government and a major defense
contractor, doing mathematical modeling and analysis. Lived in
San Diego for 4 years ('71-'75) working for the Naval Undersea
Center, then left government service for SAIC (19 years in Denver,
CO ('75-'94), and 8 years at the Pentagon ('94-'02)). Was at
work in the Pentagon on 9/11/2001. Widowed. One daughter from
my first marriage, and one granddaughter (so far on the latter).
Moved to Goodyear, AZ to be near my daughter in 2003.
