1974
Jeffrey Lee Fredensburg
It is with a heavy heart that I advise that my brother, Jeffrey
Lee Fredensburg, died May 29 2005 of a brain aneurysm. He was
51. Jeff attended Millikan High School where he met his wife,
Holly Duckworth (Class of 1974). He was a total gentleman. Jeff
was an avid golfer and skier, he played on Millikan's high school
golf team.
Jeff later attended San Diego State as a business major and became
chief executive officer of Cempi Industries in Huntington Beach.
Jeff and Holly lived in Laguna Beach and he is survived by his
parents Fred and Audrey Fredensburg, his wife Holly Duckworth-Fredensburg,
his daughter Brittany and son Chase, and sister Julie Fredensburg-Tyner
(Class of 1974)
We will miss him dearly.

Joyce Adele Holmes born
9/27/56 disappeared in Peru in approximately 1979/1980 while working on
a documentary there. After high school, Joyce attended UCSB for
several years and then Brooks School of Photography in Santa Barbara
from which she graduated. She was an incredible photographer and
even in high school had pictures posted in the high school newspaper as
well as in the Yearbook. For those interested, I believe there
was a picture of hers in the 1974 yearbook of a girl running on the
beach with the ocean in the background and birds flying all around. . .
. that girl was me!!! Joyce was my best friend. We had
grown up on the same street, born 17 days apart, and had been best
friends almost from birth.
At the time of Joyce’s disappearance, she was traveling in Peru with
her boyfriend who also disappeared. They had purchased a boat or
canoe and were traveling on a river. They left one town and never
arrived at the next. Her family hired private detectives to
search for her but no signs were ever found. At the time, the
country was in the middle of military unrest and there was a curfew in
effect but no one knows if Joyce and/or her friend were aware of the
curfew.
Every Christmas I still put the beautiful bird ornament on my tree
which she sent me just previous to her trip. . . . Joyce is greatly
missed. . .
All of Joyce’s sisters also attended Millikan. . . Ann Holmes (class of
72), Gail Holmes (class of 70?), Lois Holmes (class of 80?)
