When I was younger back in the late '40s and early '50s, my brother, Max, and I would take the red car down to the Pike or Rainbow Pier and spend the day for 10 cents, the hard part being saving a dime to get back home. I went to Millikan High in Long Beach and years later did an alumni web site. I thought I would also add something about the Pike. Back in 2000 when I started the web site, I couldn't find anything on the web about the Pike so I made The Pike web site. Finding stories and photos has been fun, and I hope you enjoy it. Please contact me if you have any photos or stories you would like to share.
The day we looked forward to has finally arrived and we retired to Hawaii. We are now spending our days wearing flip-flops (slippers), kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling - and eating papaya!
