Originally built as a large stable, in 1906 it was converted into a skating rink and a short time later to the Majestic Ballroom.

Freddy Carter

Freddy Carter Band was a resident band at the Majestic Ballroom in the 1920's and
did at least three recordings, two on the Hollywood-Sunset label and one on an earlier local
label (California circa 1924).
From Dave T. Hignett who will be sending more photos and stories
on the Majestic Ballroom in the near future.

In the 50's the name was changed to the Lido Ballroom.
