The Civic Auditorium with the Cyclone Racer in the

Long Beach, California, in the
'50s looking down Ocean Avenue showing the Cyclone Racer roller
coaster, The Pike and Rainbow Pier. (Note that the
water's edge has moved about half way to the start of the
roller coaster).
Note in this photo that the water
is at the start of the roller coaster as the pier and the Long
Beach and Los Angeles breakwaters change the beach.
Anyone who visited The Pike will remember the Laughing
Lady.
